DAV Haldwani Hosts Cluster Sports Meet 2026

DAV Haldwani proudly hosted the Cluster-Level Sports Tournament organized by the DAV College Managing Committee, New Delhi. Students from *Kashipur, Bajpur, Rudrapur, Kaladhungi, Ranikhet, and Haldwani* participated with great enthusiasm in *Kho-Kho, Football, Badminton, Taekwondo, Wushu, Chess, and Cricket* competitions.
The event was inaugurated by *International Athletics Gold Medalist and President of the Uttarakhand Athletics Association, Mr. Bijendra Chaudhary, along with **Principal Mr. Amit Joshi*, by lighting the ceremonial lamp.
🏅 *Highlights of the Tournament:*
* DAV Haldwani emerged victorious in the *Under-17 Boys' Kho-Kho* final against Kashipur.
* In the *Under-17 Kho-Kho Championship, Haldwani secured **1st place, while Bajpur finished as **Runners-up*.
* In *Badminton, Kashipur won the **Under-14 Boys'* category, while Haldwani claimed victory in the *Under-17 and Under-19 Boys'* categories.
* DAV Haldwani also lifted the trophy in the *Under-14 Girls' Badminton* category.
* Outstanding players from *Chess, Football, Cricket, Wushu, and Taekwondo* were selected to represent the cluster at the *Zonal Sports Meet in Haridwar* this August.
The event witnessed the presence of principals, sports coaches, teachers, officials, and referees from all participating schools, whose dedication ensured the smooth conduct of the tournament.
The tournament concluded with the prize distribution ceremony, where *Principal Mr. Amit Joshi* and *Mr. Bijendra Chaudhary* congratulated the winners, encouraged every participant, and emphasized that *sports build discipline, determination, teamwork, a healthy body, and a positive mind.*
