DAV Centenary Public School, Haldwani, in collaboration with the Mahila Sashaktikaran avam Bal Vikas Vibhag, organized a powerful and interactive session titled ‘Balikaon Ke Saath Samvad’ for students of Classes VI to XI on 6th February 2026. The event was graced by an esteemed panel of guests from diverse fields : Dr. Chhavi Kandpal (Jila Panchayat Sadasya), Dr. Usha Jangpangi (Head, Female Hospital Haldwani), Ms. Sunita Kunwar (Head, Women Helpline Nainital), Ms. Himani Matiyani (Senior National Volleyball Player),
Ms. Shilpa Joshi (CDPO, Haldwani), Ms. Sangeeta Takoli (Advocate, One Stop Centre), Ms. Mamta Arya, and Ms. Bina Rana (Child Helpline Jila Provision), along with Bal Vikas Vibhag supervisors Mrs. Meena Gharkhal, Mrs. Priyanka Arya, and Mrs. Manisha Arya.
During the session, these experts provided multifaceted guidance on a wide variety of topics including female hygiene, health, and critical safety awareness regarding cybercrime, the Child Helpline, and One Stop Centres. A key highlight of the programme was the interactive question & answer session, where students actively engaged with the guests, confidently asking questions to clear their queries. Reflecting the spirit of ‘Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao,’ students delivered powerful, convicting speeches on issues like the Lack of Education, Child Marriage and Inadequate Maternal Healthcare. Additionally, creative posters based on women empowerment were displayed, showcasing the students' artistic talent and commitment to the cause. These efforts were highly praised by the guests, and prizes were awarded to the participants of both the speech and poster-making segments for their exceptional performances.
