Youth Parliament 2025-26
DAV Centenary Public School, Haldwani, recently hosted a dynamic Youth Parliament session under the National Youth Parliament Scheme (NYPS), an initiative by the Ministry of Parliamentary Affairs. The event was graced by Honourable Mayor of Haldwani City, Shri Gajraj Singh Bisht ji, as the Chief Guest.
Students from Classes IX to XII participated, gaining hands-on experience in parliamentary procedures and democratic principles, fostering civic responsibility, leadership, and critical thinking. They debated significant national concerns, including:
- Frequent paper leaks in Uttarakhand
- Pahalgam attack and Ladakh Crisis
- Human-induced disasters in hill states
- US Tariffs and the Indian economy
- Proposed Constitution (One Hundred and Thirtieth Amendment) Bill, 2025
The session aimed to strengthen national integrity, critical thinking, and collaborative problem-solving among students
